📋 À propos de ce projet

Anotidaishe suffers from end-stage kidney failure, which means his kidneys no longer function on their own. He also has a small non-compliant bladder, a condition that prevents his bladder from expanding or contracting normally. Every day that passes puts more strain on his young body. The doctors have advised that the surgeries need to happen as soon as possible to prevent further complications.

📖 L'histoire complète

Please help us save Anotidaishe (19) – A Boy Fighting Kidney Failure Who Deserves a Future
My name is Teedzai G. Mlambo, and I am a parent fighting for my son's life. My son, Anotidaishe Emmanuel, is 19 years old. He has kidney failure and a bladder condition (surviving on self-catheterization to empty the bladder), that makes it impossible for him to live a normal life. Without surgery, his future is uncertain. With it, he has a chance.

Anotidaishe was born on December 21, 2006. Like any mother, I dreamed of watching him grow up, playing, laughing, going to school, building a future. But his journey has been different. He suffers from end-stage kidney failure, which means his kidneys no longer function on their own. To make matters more complicated, he also has a small non-compliant bladder, a condition that prevents his bladder from expanding or contracting normally. These two problems together mean that a simple kidney transplant is not enough. He needs two major surgeries.
We have been in contact with Jaslok Hospital & Research Center in Mumbai, India, one of the leading hospitals for transplant surgery. The specialists caring for him are Dr. Shailesh Raina, Director of Urology and Dr M.M Bahudur, Director of Nephrology. Anotidaishe's body is struggling. His kidneys are failing, and his bladder cannot hold urine properly. Every day that passes puts more strain on his young body. The doctors have advised that the surgeries need to happen as soon as possible to prevent further complications.
We have a clear medical plan:
1. Cystoplasty – surgery to reconstruct and enlarge his bladder so it can function normally
2. Kidney Transplant – replacing his failed kidneys with a healthy donor kidney
These two procedures will give my son a second chance at life.
The Cost Breakdown
The total cost for both surgeries, hospital stay, and post-operative care is approximately $27,000 USD. Here is how it breaks down:
Expense Cost (USD)
Pre-operative investigations $2,500
Kidney transplant package $16,000
Bladder surgery (Cystoplasty) $5,200
Medical contingency buffer $3,300
Total $27,000
*The transplant package includes hospital stay for 14 days for Anotidaishe and 7 days for the donor, surgery fees, 12 dialysis sessions, medicines, food, and airport pickup. Any amount raised beyond the goal will go toward anti-rejection medication and follow-up care.*

Further expenses
The patient is expected to stay 60 days in India (14 days in Hospital and 46 days out of hospital for further monitoring)

Expense Cost
Flight expenses @1600 per person x 3 people (Receiver, donor and caregiver) $4800
Accommodation for 2 people – Receiver and Care giver @$30 x 46 days $1380
Food for 2 people x 46 days @$15 per day $1380
Total $7560
Total cost - $34,560
I am humbly asking for your help. No amount is too small, every contribution brings Anotidaishe one step closer to the surgery that will save his life. Anotidaishe is 19 years old. He completed his advanced level in 2025, looking forward to go to university. He wishes to study Cybersecurity. He has his whole life ahead of him. He deserves the chance to grow up, to dream, to become whoever he wants to be. But right now, he needs our help to get there.
