My name is Atef, I am 24 years old, and I am from Khan Younis in Gaza. Our suffering began on October 7, 2023, when the war erupted and our lives changed completely. Two months later, the Israeli army issued evacuation orders for our area, forcing us to flee to Rafah. We spent nearly five months living in a tent with almost none of the basic necessities needed for survival.

Two months later, the Israeli army issued evacuation orders for our area, forcing us to flee to Rafah. We spent nearly five months living in a tent with almost none of the basic necessities needed for survival.

While we were displaced, we received the heartbreaking news that our home in Khan Younis had been destroyed. When the fighting reached Rafah, we had no choice but to return to our city, only to find our house reduced to rubble. We built another tent, but life there was extremely harsh. In winter, we endured heavy rain and strong winds; in summer, unbearable heat.

During this time, I lost my younger brother—only 15 years old—along with five members of my family in a sudden airstrike. Despite the pain, we continued living in the tent until yesterday, when a large military operation began in our area. Missiles were falling around us, and we were forced to flee once again under intense bombardment.

Today, we have nowhere safe to go. My family and I are exhausted, displaced again and again, trying only to survive. We are asking for your support to help us escape this ongoing danger and protect our lives.
