Hello everyone,
I am reaching out to the world today with a heavy heart, but with immense hope. My beloved mother, Mrs Margaret Oluyemisi Toyo, has recently been diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer. Hearing the word "cancer" shattered our family, but her doctors have given us a clear path forward: she needs an urgent surgical intervention to remove the tumor and save her life.
We are based in Nigeria, where medical care must be paid entirely out-of-pocket. The hospital, Deborah Multi Specialist Hospital and Diagnostics has provided a total medical estimate of 3,500,000 Nigerian Naira. Because of local inflation and the exchange rate, this amounts to roughly $2,550 USD (or £1,950 GBP).
While $2,550 might seem like an achievable target internationally, in Nigeria’s current economic climate, it is an impossible mountain for our family to climb alone. We have exhausted our life savings just getting her through the preliminary biopsies, scans, and pain management.
Where the Funds Will Go:
Every single penny raised from this campaign will go directly into:
Pre-surgery stability treatments.
The primary Colorectal Surgery (Tumor Resection).
Post-operative hospital stays and immediate recovery care.
