My name is Omar Siyam. I am 23 years old and I live in Palestine.
On May 14, 2023, my life changed forever. I suffered a gunshot wound to my left leg during events at my university. In just a moment, my future became uncertain. Since that day, I have been living with severe pain, limited mobility, and the emotional and financial burden of a life-changing injury.
I have undergone medical evaluations and treatment, but my recovery is not complete. According to my doctors, I urgently need surgery to improve my condition and give me the chance to regain my mobility. The estimated cost of the surgery, medical care, rehabilitation, and related expenses is approximately **$50,000 USD**.
Unfortunately, this amount is far beyond what my family and I can afford. The ongoing financial hardship has made it impossible for us to cover the cost of the treatment on our own.
