📋 À propos de ce projet
I'm Quinton, raising funds on behalf of my 65-year-old father-in-law, **Gerald**, from South Africa. After retirement, his pension is not enough to cover debts or repair his unsafe home. Your support will help make his house safe again and give him the chance to start a small home-based business so he can regain his independence and live with dignity.

Help a 65-Year-Old South African Rebuild His Home and His Life
My name is Gerald, and I am a 65-year-old man living in South Africa. I never imagined I would reach a point where I would have to ask strangers for help, but today I have no other choice.
After being placed on pension, I discovered that the amount I receive is simply not enough to cover my debts or even my most basic living expenses. Like many older people, I have found it nearly impossible to find work because of my age. Despite my willingness to work, every opportunity seems out of reach.
With nowhere else to go, I moved into a house that is in a dangerous state of disrepair. The roof leaks whenever it rains. The walls are cracking. The foundation is deteriorating. What should be a place of safety has become a daily source of worry.
The repairs needed are far beyond what I can afford. Living only on a pension means I simply cannot save enough to make the home safe and livable.
Every day I face difficult choices between paying debts, buying necessities, and trying to make small repairs that barely keep the house standing. Living with this constant uncertainty has been emotionally and financially overwhelming.
I am not asking for luxury or comfort. I am simply asking for the chance to live in a safe home where I no longer have to fear the next storm or another part of the house failing. A secure home would restore not only my safety but also my dignity and peace of mind.
My greatest hope is that, once my home is safe again, I can start a small home-based business. I do not want to rely on donations for the rest of my life. I want the opportunity to earn an honest living, create a steady income, and regain my independence. More than anything, I want to know that I can provide for myself again with dignity. Your support would not only help repair my home—it would help me build a future where I can stand on my own feet again.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small the amount, you will be helping me rebuild both my home and my future. Every contribution brings me one step closer to living safely again.
If you cannot donate, I completely understand. You can still make a tremendous difference by sharing this fundraiser with others who may be able to help. Sometimes a single share reaches the person who can change someone's life.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your kindness, compassion, and generosity mean more than words can express. During one of the most difficult periods of my life, your support reminds me that hope still exists.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with me.
With sincere gratitude,
Gerald
