Every contribution to this fundraiser will help me take one step closer to a dream that means more to me than I can put into words: traveling from Colombia to Bolivia to dance Caporales in the country where this beautiful tradition was born. 🇨🇴🇧🇴
The funds raised will go directly toward the essential expenses that will make this journey possible.

📖 Historia completa
My name is Cindy, I am from Colombia, and a few months ago my life changed in ways I never expected.
After more than a decade dedicated to my professional career, I found myself closing one of the most important chapters of my life and beginning again. Starting over is never easy. It comes with uncertainty, questions, and moments when you have to rediscover who you are outside of everything that once defined you.
And somewhere in the middle of that transition, I found dance.
I started dancing Caporales, a beautiful Bolivian folkloric dance filled with strength, joy, tradition, music, and an incredible sense of community. What began simply as something new to try slowly became one of the brightest parts of this new chapter of my life.
I trained. I learned. I made mistakes. I kept going. I wore my first Caporales costume, experienced my first performances, and little by little, something that started as a hobby became a dream.
**And now I have the opportunity to take that dream to Bolivia — the birthplace of the tradition I have fallen in love with.** 🇧🇴❤️
For me, this is not simply a vacation or another destination on a map. It would mean experiencing Caporales where its culture lives and breathes, dancing alongside people who share this passion, and completing a journey that began thousands of kilometers away in Colombia.
Right now, however, I am still going through a professional transition and I do not currently have a steady income. The opportunity arrived at a moment when covering the entire journey on my own is difficult. And because the trip is approaching very soon, I decided to do something that is not particularly easy for me: ask for help.
The funds raised will be used exclusively to make this journey possible: airfare from Colombia to Bolivia, transportation within Bolivia, accommodation, meals, and the essential expenses associated with participating in the Caporales events.
Every contribution — no matter how small — will bring me a little closer. A donation could become part of a flight, a night of accommodation, a meal, or the transportation that gets me to the next performance.
But its impact would mean much more than covering an expense.
It would remind me that sometimes we don't have to wait until life is perfectly organized to pursue something that makes us feel alive again.
My goal is to raise enough to make this journey possible, and I promise to share the experience along the way — from Colombia, through every step of the journey, until the moment I can finally stand in Bolivia wearing my Caporales costume and dance.
If I make it there, every step, every turn, and every beat of the music will carry a little piece of every person who helped me get there.
I may be the one dancing in Bolivia, but this dream will belong to all of us. 🇨🇴❤️🇧🇴
Thank you for reading my story, for sharing it, and for believing that sometimes a dream is worth taking a chance on.
