📋 Acerca de este proyecto
I’m a working mother of two, doing my best every day to support my family. After several difficult years, debt and interest began consuming much of my income. I’m not asking anyone to build a new life for me, only for the chance to ease this burden and rebuild it through my own work, responsibility, and hope.
📖 Historia completa
My name is Flávia. I’m Brazilian, a mother of two, an educated professional, and someone who has worked hard to build a career and support my family. I also try to help my parents whenever they need me.
I never imagined I would create a crowdfunding campaign to ask for financial help. I have always been very independent and accustomed to solving my own problems. But I have learned that having a job, a career, and a life that looks stable from the outside does not necessarily mean being financially secure.
Over the past few years, I faced several major challenges at the same time: a divorce, the financial restructuring of my family, a period of depression, rising expenses, and the responsibility of continuing to provide stability for my children.
During this period, I turned to loans and credit to manage expenses and meet my financial obligations. What was supposed to be a temporary solution gradually became a cycle that has been increasingly difficult to break.
Today, my main debts are personal loans with Nubank, totaling approximately **R$55,000 in Brazilian reais**.
I am still employed and earning an income. This is an important part of my story: **I am not asking for help because I stopped working, nor am I asking other people to financially support my family.** The problem is that loan payments and interest now consume a significant portion of my income, making it extremely difficult to reduce the debt while continuing to cover normal household expenses.
How the funds will be used
The goal of this campaign is to **pay off or significantly reduce approximately R$55,000 in personal loan debt**.
The funds raised will be used primarily to pay down these debts. If the campaign does not reach the full amount, I will use whatever is raised to reduce the outstanding balances and, whenever possible, lower the impact of interest and monthly payments on my budget.
The funds are not intended for travel, luxury purchases, or unnecessary spending. The purpose is to reduce my debt burden so that the income I already earn through my work can once again cover my family's needs more sustainably.
I will also continue working, managing my budget carefully, and seeking better opportunities to negotiate and restructure the remaining debt.
What difference would this make?
Reducing this debt would mean much more to me than simply paying off loans.
It would allow a larger portion of my income to go toward essential expenses, supporting my children, and eventually building a modest emergency fund so that unexpected expenses do not send me back into debt.
It would also relieve financial and emotional pressure that I have been carrying for a long time.
I have experienced depression in the past, and I understand the importance of protecting my emotional well-being. I share this not to create sympathy or pressure anyone to donate, but to explain honestly why I have decided to ask for help now. I want to address this situation while I am working, caring for my family, and fully capable of rebuilding my financial stability.
My children are my greatest motivation, but I also want to protect their privacy. They should not have to carry the weight of my financial difficulties, nor do I want to use them as a reason to persuade anyone to contribute.
Why am I asking for help?
Perhaps the hardest part of sharing this story is acknowledging that someone can work hard, have an education, build a career, and still experience serious financial difficulties.
From the outside, my life may look perfectly organized. I continue to work, take care of my children, look after myself, and meet my responsibilities.
Behind that appearance of stability, however, is a level of debt that has become extremely difficult to overcome with my available monthly income alone.
I also take responsibility for the financial decisions I have made. I am not here to blame my divorce, banks, the economy, or anyone else. Difficult circumstances contributed to where I am today, but rebuilding my financial life is ultimately my responsibility.
Creating this campaign is one of the ways I am trying to do that.
**I’m not asking anyone to build a new life for me. I’m asking for the chance to remove the weight that is keeping me from rebuilding it myself.**
If you are able and comfortable contributing, any amount will become part of that rebuilding process, and I will receive it with tremendous gratitude.
If donating is not possible, sharing my story can also make a meaningful difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and especially for respecting the courage it took for me to share it.
