We are Angélica and Alan, a newly married couple from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We got married recently after years of dreaming about building a life together. We are simple, hardworking people who believe that love is the greatest reason to celebrate. Neither of us has ever traveled outside South America. Europe has always been a distant dream, something we see in movies, read about in books, and promise each other we'll visit "one day." We decided that our marriage is that one day.
We need to raise €5,000 to take our first trip to Europe together. We want to spend 7 days exploring 2 or 3 European countries (we're thinking Portugal, Spain, and maybe France or Italy). This isn't a luxury trip, it's a humble, honest dream. We don't need fancy hotels or expensive restaurants. We just want to walk through historic streets, try local foods, take photos together, and celebrate our love in a place that feels like magic to us.
How will the funds be used?
The €5,000 will cover everything for two people for 7 days:
Breakfast (7 days x 2 people): €140 -€10/day, coffee, bread, cheese, fruit
Lunch (7 days x 2 people) €280 - €20/day, sandwiches, street food, markets
Dinner (7 days x 2 people) €420 - €30/day, budget local restaurants or cooking
Accommodation (7 nights for two) €700 -€100/night, budget hotels or private hostel rooms
Round-trip flights (Rio ↔ Europe, 2 people) €2,200 - €1,100 each, economy class, one stop
Local transport + attractions + buffer €1,260: trains, metros, museums, 1 or 2 paid attractions, and emergency money
