My name is Larissa, and I am Lorenna's mother. Lorenna is 3 years old and was born with congenital glaucoma. She needs lifelong specialized treatment, medical exams, and regular trips to Belém, Brazil. I cannot work because I am her full-time caregiver. Your donation will help cover her medical care, travel, and treatment. Thank you for your kindness and support.

📖 Full story

Hello,
My name is Larissa, and I am Lorenna's mother.
Writing this is one of the hardest things I have ever done, but I am doing it for the person I love most—my daughter.
Lorenna is only 3 years old and was born with congenital glaucoma, a rare eye disease that has required treatment since she was just 15 days old. Unfortunately, there is no cure. She will need specialized medical care for the rest of her life to help preserve her vision.
She is currently under the care of glaucoma and cornea specialists. Soon, she will also be evaluated by a pediatric ophthalmologist and must undergo important medical tests so her doctors can monitor her condition and decide the next steps in her treatment.
We live in Brazil, and in October we need to travel again to Belém for her appointments and examinations. The costs of travel, accommodation, medical tests, consultations, medications, and other treatment-related expenses are more than our family can afford.
At this moment, I cannot work because I dedicate my time to caring for my daughters, especially Lorenna, who requires constant medical attention.
Every donation will be used exclusively for Lorenna's treatment, including medical appointments, examinations, travel expenses, medications, and any other necessary costs related to her care.
I have medical reports and examination requests that confirm Lorenna's diagnosis and ongoing treatment, and I am willing to provide them through this campaign to ensure complete transparency.
If you are unable to donate, sharing Lorenna's story would also mean so much to our family.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for giving Lorenna hope for a brighter future.
With gratitude,
Larissa
Lorenna's Mom 💕
