Help to replace my computer (I'm a computer science student)

I am a university programming student and need a computer to take to class, but mine broke and I can no longer submit my assignments. The money would be used to replace it.

I’m Sofi; I’m studying programming at university, and my computer broke during a move. At first, it would turn on, but the lid wouldn't close properly, so I couldn't take it to class—though I could at least still submit my assignments. Now, there are days when it doesn't respond at all, and when it does turn on, it doesn't work right. It starts uninstalling the programs I need for university, deleting files, and so on. It’s not a virus causing this; the computer is simply old. My uncle gave it to me for university—it was his old one—and it’s now six years old. I tried to get it repaired (since my uncle had faced similar issues in the past), but the technician told me the cost would be equal to or higher than buying a new one. Plus, there’s no guarantee it won’t break again (the build quality is poor, and since it has already broken once, it’s likely to happen again). Since I don't have the money to buy a new computer or repair this one, the funds from this foundation would go toward that, as I need it to finish my studies. My family can't help me, and right now—despite actively looking—I haven't been able to find a job. So, any help would be greatly appreciated.
