The current evacuation cost is $9,000 USD per adult. The family consists of 9 adults and 2 children, bringing the total amount needed to cover travel and border crossing expenses to $91,000 USD.
Despite their current devastating circumstances, Mohammed previously managed to raise $35,000 USD through an earlier fundraiser, and the family carefully saved every dollar in the hope that one day they might finally reach safety.
