My Goal: Advancing Environmental Engineering Research in Nigeria

My name is Nuhu Mustapha Onarigu, an engineering graduate from Nigeria with a strong interest in environmental engineering, sustainable development, and the use of technology to solve environmental challenges.

During my academic journey, I developed a particular interest in water and environmental systems and how engineering can be used to improve the way communities manage environmental resources. I now want to take the next step by further developing my education and research experience in environmental engineering.

One area I am particularly interested in is the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and smart monitoring technologies to wastewater management. In Nigeria, effective monitoring of wastewater quality can be challenging, particularly when regular and real-time information is limited. My proposed research explores how technologies such as sensors, data analysis, and artificial intelligence could help identify changes in wastewater quality and support faster environmental decision-making.

Why I am fundraising

Continuing research and education comes with several expenses. I am raising funds to help cover legitimate educational and research-related costs associated with developing this work. These may include research materials, data collection and analysis, technical and learning resources, transportation connected with research activities, software or other academic resources, and other necessary project expenses.

Every contribution will help reduce the financial pressure associated with pursuing this goal and allow me to dedicate more time and resources to my education and research.
