Hello, my name is Vicente and I am a Law student from Chile.
I created this campaign because I am trying to find a way to continue my university studies without placing the entire financial burden on my family.
I come from a middle-class family. My family has always done everything they can to support me, but our financial situation has become increasingly difficult.
My stepfather is 70 years old and still works to help pay for my university education. I am deeply grateful for everything he has done for me, but it is difficult for me to see him continuing to work at his age so that I can study.
One of the reasons I am so determined to finish my degree is that I want him to be able to see me graduate. As time goes by, I cannot help but worry that he may not be there to see me achieve that goal. That thought is very difficult for me, and it motivates me to keep moving forward.
My mother also lives with a disability that affects part of her independence. Although she can do some things on her own, she needs help with different daily activities and getting around. I help take care of her while also trying to keep up with my university studies.
I know that some people may wonder why I attend a private university.
The truth is that I did not choose it because I come from a wealthy family. During high school, I went through difficult personal circumstances that affected my ability to prepare for the university entrance exam as much as I would have liked. When it was time to choose where to study, I decided to take the opportunity that was available to me and pursue the career I genuinely wanted.
I am currently studying Law because I want to dedicate myself to this profession. I am particularly interested in public law, fundamental rights and politics, and my long-term goal is to use my profession to help other people and contribute to my country.
I am not asking anyone to pay for my entire degree. I simply hope to reduce some of the financial pressure on my family and give myself a better chance of finishing my studies.
I have attached information about the courses I am currently taking as a way of showing that I am genuinely enrolled and actively working toward my degree.
I don't expect to raise a huge amount of money. Even a small contribution can help. If enough people contribute a small amount, it could make a meaningful difference to me and my family.
If you cannot donate, sharing this campaign would also mean a lot to me.

Hola, mi nombre es Vicente y soy estudiante de Derecho en Chile.
Decidí crear esta campaña porque estoy intentando encontrar una forma de continuar mis estudios universitarios sin que todo el peso económico recaiga sobre mi familia.
Soy parte de una familia de clase media. Mi familia siempre ha hecho todo lo posible por apoyarme, pero nuestra situación económica se ha vuelto cada vez más difícil.
Mi padrastro tiene 70 años y todavía trabaja para ayudar a pagar mi universidad. Estoy profundamente agradecido por todo lo que ha hecho por mí, pero no es fácil verlo continuar trabajando a su edad para que yo pueda estudiar.
Una de las razones por las que estoy tan decidido a terminar mi carrera es porque quiero que él pueda verme titularme. A medida que pasa el tiempo, no puedo evitar tener miedo de que quizás no llegue a estar presente para ver ese momento. Es un pensamiento que me cuesta mucho, pero también es una de las cosas que me motiva a seguir adelante.
Mi mamá también vive con una discapacidad que afecta parte de su autonomía. Aunque puede realizar algunas cosas por sí misma, necesita ayuda para distintas actividades cotidianas y para desplazarse. Yo participo activamente en su cuidado mientras intento compatibilizarlo con mis estudios universitarios.
Sé que algunas personas podrían preguntarse por qué estudio en una universidad privada.
La verdad es que no elegí estudiar allí porque provenga de una familia adinerada. Durante la enseñanza media atravesé algunas dificultades personales que afectaron mi posibilidad de prepararme para la prueba de admisión universitaria tanto como me hubiera gustado. Cuando llegó el momento de decidir dónde estudiar, decidí aprovechar la oportunidad que tenía disponible y estudiar la carrera que realmente quería.
Actualmente estudio Derecho porque quiero dedicarme a esta profesión. Me interesan especialmente el derecho público, los derechos fundamentales y la política, y mi objetivo a largo plazo es utilizar mi profesión para ayudar a otras personas y aportar a mi país.
No estoy pidiendo que alguien pague toda mi carrera. Simplemente espero poder reducir parte de la presión económica que existe sobre mi familia y tener una mejor posibilidad de terminar mis estudios.
También adjunté información sobre los ramos que estoy cursando actualmente, como una forma de demostrar que efectivamente estoy matriculado y trabajando para obtener mi título.
No espero reunir una cantidad enorme de dinero. Incluso una pequeña contribución puede ayudar. Si suficientes personas pueden aportar una cantidad pequeña, podría significar una diferencia importante para mí y mi familia.
Si no puedes donar, compartir esta campaña también significaría muchísimo para mí.
