📋 À propos de ce projet
I'm a 29yo Brazilian single mom to a 2yo girl. In Brazil, living costs are crushing, and prejudice against single mothers is real. My income covers less than half of our basics: rent, milk, diapers, medicine. I'm facing $38k BRL in debt and bare furniture. My goal is $50k BRL (around $9k USD) to clear debt and survive. If God touches your heart, please support our smile tomorrow. Thank you!
📖 L'histoire complète
Dear friends,
My name is Patricia, I am 29 years old, and I am reaching out to you from Brazil with an open heart and absolute transparency. I am a single mother fighting entirely on my own to raise my beautiful baby girl. On July 26th, she will turn 2 years old. While I dream of celebrating this milestone with a smile, the reality of our daily survival has left me exhausted, overwhelmed, and desperately needing a miracle.
Being a single mother in Brazil is a brutal and lonely journey. Our society carries an immense, painful prejudice against solo mothers, which constantly closes doors to stable employment and support networks. To make matters worse, Brazil is facing a severe economic crisis. Inflation has skyrocketed, making the cost of basic human survival completely absurd. Right now, my monthly income does not even cover half of our bare necessities.
Every single day is a terrifying calculation. Because I refused to let my daughter go hungry or homeless, I had to do what any desperate mother would do: I accumulated 38,000 BRL (Brazilian Reais) in debt just to afford rent, milk, and basic survival over this grueling period. This debt is crushing us, and the interest keeps growing.
The remaining balance of my 50,000 BRL goal (approximately $9,000 USD) is needed for our immediate survival and dignity:
Precarious Living Conditions: The very few pieces of furniture we have in our rented home are damaged and unsafe for a toddler. I need to buy basic, safe furniture.
Essential Needs for My Growing Baby: My daughter is outgrowing her clothes and shoes rapidly. I desperately need funds to buy her proper winter clothing, shoes, diapers, and medicine.
Food Security: I need a financial cushion to ensure there is always healthy food, fresh milk, and fruit on our table without drowning further in debt.
International Fees: This total goal also factors in the heavy bank conversion taxes and international platform fees required to transfer US Dollars safely into Brazilian Reais.
We do not have a car or any vehicle; we walk everywhere or rely on crowded public transit, carrying everything by hand. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a lifeline to lift us out of this financial trap so I can look at my daughter on July 26th and know she is safe.
I am here showing you my real life, my struggles, and my absolute willingness to work hard for our future. I truly believe in the generosity of the people on this platform. I deeply value transparency, so I am completely available to send receipts, bank statements, bills, or any proof you may need to verify my story. If God touches your heart to support a mother's fight to protect her child, please consider contributing. No amount is too small, and every single dollar will directly change two lives.
With endless honesty, tears, and gratitude,Patricia
