A New Chapter After 20 Years in Music and Events
My name is Gustavo, and for more than 20 years, music and events have been my professional life.
I started in 2005, working with stage setup for the Brazilian reggae band Mato Seco. Over the years, I had the opportunity to work with many different musical styles and artists, including Oswaldinho do Acordeon, Maneva, Major RD, Leall, Batom na Cueca and many other talented professionals.
I continued developing my career in the industry, eventually becoming a sound technician. About ten years ago, I completed my professional training in sound engineering, and in 2018 I took on the responsibility of artistic management at Café Photo, a well-known event venue in São Paulo, Brazil.
After years of dedication to this profession, my life took an unexpected turn.
In 2026, I had to leave my job during a difficult period involving health issues. I am currently unemployed and also dealing with a significant health issue affecting my hearing, including pain and sensitivity that currently make it difficult for me to continue working in the environment I have known for most of my adult life.
I am now trying to find a new path within the same industry — one that allows me to use the experience I have built over more than two decades without depending entirely on the physical and demanding aspects of live sound work.
My goal is to transition into remote event production, coordination, artist management, and related professional services. To do that, I need time to study, develop new skills and build the structure necessary to work independently.
This is why I am asking for help.
I am not looking for someone to solve my life for me. I am asking for an opportunity to rebuild it.
The funds raised will help me cover essential living expenses while I reorganize my life, invest in professional education and prepare myself for this new phase of my career.
