This project aims to strengthen financial education and digital inclusion in the DRC, by training young people to create simple financial tools for small traders excluded from the traditional banking system. Every donation contributes directly to equipment, training, and local impact.
L'histoire de cette campagne
My name is Rock Kakule, an entrepreneur deeply passionate about technology, education, and social impact. I am the founder of a small computer training center in the Democratic Republic of Congo, created to empower young people and support small traders excluded from the traditional banking system.
In many communities across the DRC, small traders and market vendors work hard every day, yet remain excluded from formal financial services. Without access to banks or digital tools, managing savings, getting small loans, payments, and basic financial records becomes a constant challenge. This exclusion limits growth, stability, and opportunity.
This project was born from a simple but powerful idea: local solutions built by local talent can solve local financial challenges.
Every day, I work with motivated young people who want to learn, build, and contribute. Together, we develop simple digital tools designed to help small traders participate in modern financial activities. These tools focus on practical needs such as tracking savings, small loans, managing payments, and improving basic financial organization.
This initiative is not just an idea.
It is already on the ground and in a testing phase, with more than 100 active users currently using our tools and providing feedback. These early users include small traders, community entrepreneurs, and young trainees who are directly involved in improving the solution.
Their feedback helps us refine the tools and adapt them to real daily challenges. The early results are encouraging, showing improved financial organization and growing confidence in digital financial tools.
While the project is moving forward, our progress is limited by insufficient equipment and learning space. With better computers, stable internet access, and improved training materials, we can:
• Train more young people with practical digital finance skills
• Improve the tools already being tested by our users
• Expand access to financial education for underserved communities
Your support will not start this project from zero, it will accelerate and strengthen an initiative that is already delivering impact.
With a fundraising goal of 30 000€, we aim to:
• Purchase of computers and basic IT equipment
• Internet connectivity and power solutions
• Improvement of the training space for better learning conditions
• Organize training in digital finance, cybersecurity and basic software development
• Organize workshops focused on real community needs
• Support 300 – 500 additional small traders
• Strengthen and scale tools already used by 100+ existing users
This is not just about technology. It is about dignity, opportunity, and inclusion.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us build on what already exists and move forward together.
Thank you for believing in local innovation and supporting real impact on the ground.
